The Maladrerie Saint-Lazare
The Maladrerie Saint-Lazare has redesigned its site to make it more accessible to all, with directional signposts for the visually impaired and adapted pathways. For the hearing impaired, a magnetic loop will be available. Finally, trained staff are on hand to offer advice and guidance.
As part of this approach, the Maladrerie Saint-Lazare has been awarded the “Tourism and Disability” label for all four types of disability: hearing, mental, motor and visual.
From spring onwards, you can stroll through the paths of the medieval-inspired garden and contemplate this jewel of hospital heritage from the 12ᵉ and 13ᵉ centuries.
Saint-Etienne Church
The main door has not been raised, so you can visit this remarkable example of the transition between Romanesque and Gothic art in peace, and admire the magnificent set of stained glass windows created in the 16ᵉ century by the Le Prince family.
The Church of Saint-Etienne is open to visitors on Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm to 5pm.
The Beauvais Cathedral Association offers free guided tours from time to time.
