Welcome to our home
One of the most popular walks in Beauvaisis! And with good reason...the scenery is wild, overlooking the Thérain and Oise valleys and the great forest of Hez-Froidmont. Mont César rises to a height of 138m. From the entrance to the site, climb the steps to reach the site after an 80m ascent. You enter an area once used as a Gallo-Roman oppidum, hence the name Mont César.
Bordered by wooded edges, the vast lawns are teeming with rare animal and plant species, adapted to life on these limestone and sandy environments: aromatic plants and numerous species of wild orchid attract butterflies and insects.
The site is managed by the Conservatoire d'espaces naturels des Hauts-de-France.
