Les coteaux du Thérain

Close to Beauvais, the Coteaux du Thérain dominate the Thérain valley dotted with ponds, pastures and hay meadows. They form a mosaic of natural environments between woods, recolonisation thickets and lawns. The woods are dominant and consist mainly of ash and beech woods.

The richness of the site comes from the surface of dry grasslands still present despite its abandonment. The lawns of the commune of Fouquenies are therefore of particular interest with the presence of 19 heritage species of the flora of Picardy, including beautiful stations of Phalangère rameuse and Digitale jaune.
