The MUDO-Musée de l'Oise is housed in the prestigious Palais des évêques-comtes de Beauvais, at the foot of the cathedral. This remarkable architectural ensemble, listed as a historic monument, includes a 14th-century gatehouse linked by a wing to the Renaissance palace built for bishop Louis-Villiers de L?Isle-Adam (1497-1521) on the foundations of an earlier 12th-century building.
The Renaissance Palace is currently closed to the public for museographic redevelopment work. The rest of the museum remains open to the public.
