The year is 1524?
King François 1er has just spent a few days with his retinue at his favorite hunting lodge. Back at the château, he's about to set off for battle in the south of France, where Charles V, King of Spain, is making his presence felt. But suddenly, a strange epidemic strikes several members of his entourage. Where does this mysterious disease come from? Could there be a conspirator in the castle? Is the king himself under threat?
